MECHANICAL THERAPIES IN COMPLEX DECONGESTION

Mechanical therapies are a necessary complement in any treatment of complex decongestion, both in lymphoedema and lipoedema.

At the Clinica Linfologica Italiana in Padua, we utilize the most innovative medical devices and electromedical equipment that have demonstrated clinical effectiveness in the treatment of lymphoedema and lipoedema.

In particular, we were the first specialized lymphology facility in Italy to harness the clinical power of LPG in the treatment of lipoedema and lymphoedema (learn more here).

In addition to LPG, we use shock wave therapies,
vacuum systems, and other “mechanical”
treatment techniques such as Gua Sha, which
derives from Chinese medicine.

Each clinical treatment programme is always personalized. The choice of which mechanical therapies are most suitable for each specific patient, as well as which combination of mechanical therapies is the most effective with other components of the multidisciplinary approach, is assessed individually.
